WE ARE HERE TO HELP ANYONE WHO REQUIRES IT DURING THE CORONAVIRUS OUTBREAK.
As you may have heard, all church services are to be curtailed until further notice, to prevent the spreading of infection. It is now likely that many church and hall events will also have to be cancelled.
However, at this time of great uncertainty please be aware that the Church is still here for you, whether or not you are usually a congregation member.
Please contact us if you would like anyone prayed for by name.
If you know of anyone in South Chingford who is likely to be very lonely and isolated as a result of the government containment measures, or if indeed that person is you, there may be ways we can help. Please contact either of us to discuss this further.
It is likely that Easter services and others will be live-streamed online. Our church website will carry details of this and further updates generally, and we shall also continue to be in contact by post.
These are dark times. But even in the greatest darkness, we know that there is hope for the future. Our prayer is that we all will pull together as a community, and that we will emerge the other side, more united and compassionate than before. Nobody will be left to suffer alone.
‘Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, you are with me. Your rod and your staff, they comfort me’.
In love and prayer,
Revd Lesley Goldsmith
