If you are thinking of getting married, or you or a member of your families wishes to be christened (baptised), or if you are looking for a thanksgiving service of any kind, please contact Revd Ruth Holmes on vicar@stedmund.org.uk or 07369278943.
Getting married at St Edmund’s
We would love to help you celebrate your wedding and welcome all enquiries. It might be easier to get married in church than you think. The Church of England’s wedding site is a good place to start. This explains where you can marry, and who can marry in church. It also has lots of ideas for readings, music and much more.
(St Edmund’s is actually featured on the Church of England’s Why marry in church? page.)
Getting christened at St Edmund’s
Baptism (or christening) is a special event celebrating the first steps on our journey as a Christian. Both adults and children can be baptised. Wherever possible we hold baptisms during our regular 10am Sunday service. You can find out what happens at the service here.
Thanksgiving Services
There are opportunities for Special Thanksgiving Services at St Edmund’s.
You may wish to celebrate a special anniversary if you are already married, or you may want to give thanks for your marriage held elsewhere.
Similarly, you may want to give thanks for the arrival or adoption of child but are not sure about baptism.
Do get in touch to discuss how we can help you celebrate these milestones in life.
